• Maintaining several MySQL and Redis instances and further designing and developing our
database and data management infrastructure
• Maintaining and developing data pipelines that import and query data from the databases.
• Setting data integrity standards, controls and monitoring.
• Setting SQL development best practices and mentoring other team members.
• Tackling key infrastructure and scaling challenges.
Basic qualifications
• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 or more years of Database administration of MySQL
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), monitoring and troubleshooting
tools.
• Experience in python programming.
• Experience in writing and tuning complex SQL queries.
• Experience in maintaining and writing scripts for data queries and transformations.
• Experience in doing reporting with web interface.
• Experience in administering and supporting multiple databases for performance critical, highly
available systems.
• Experience in relational database architecture, data modeling, performance tuning, backup,
recovery, scalability, and capacity planning.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Experience with designing, developing,
testing, and deploying applications/systems using proven or emerging technologies in a variety
of technologies and environments.
• A self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and ability to problem solve, while paying careful
attention to detail.
• Great interpersonal skills and comfort in a fast-paced setting.
• Having financial trading middle-office knowledge is a big plus
